Fabulous lodging and year round activities make the Vail Valley and Eagle County, Colorado one of the finest places to live in the world.

East Vail - Possibly the most alpine of the areas communities, East Vail hugs the Gore Range at the base of Vail Pass. Strictly a residential neighborhood and only four miles east of Vail Village, it is a favorite with longtime locals and second homeowners.

Lionshead - Just a short walk west from Vail Village sits a mix of condominiums and commercial businesses at the foot of Vails new Eagle Bahn gondola. Convenient shopping and dining, as well as an exciting apr? ski atmosphere are notable highlights in this charming ski community. Free bus service is provided to visitors for quick access to the center of town.

West Vail - Divided and referred to as north and south West Vail, this area has two very distinct landscapes. The south side features lushly wooded, alpine-like terrain interspersed with broad, rolling meadows. The north side, while more exposed, offers dramatic views and an abundance of sunshine throughout the year. Within these neighborhoods are a rich variety of properties, from simple condominiums to elegant single-family homes. Generally these properties tend to be more moderately priced than comparable properties in Vail Village. Yet, the village and the slopes are only five or ten minutes away, and the free Town of Vail bus system offers frequent service.

Eagle Vail - Loved for its convenient location between Vail and Beaver Creek Resort and its superb amenities, Eagle-Vail is always a great choice! Beyond the swimming pool, tennis courts, Community Pavilion, numerous parks and the 18th fairway are several hiking and biking trails leading up into National Forest lands

Bachelor Gulch - Nestled in a scenic valley between Beaver Creek Resort and Arrowhead, the 1,400 acre Bachelor Gulch Village links the ski trails of Beaver Creek and Arrowhead, creating a unique Village-to-Village skiing experience. Surrounded by ski terrain, a small, intimate village is planned. A large percentage of the single-family homesites, mountain lodges and condos provide ski-in/ ski-out access and are located amidst groves of aspen and evergreens or alongside beautiful alpine meadows. The master plan has been designed to maximize views and privacy with minimal impact on the natural environment.

Mountain Star - This elegant, gated community offers spectacular unobstructed views of Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch Village, Arrowhead and the mountains beyond. Mountain Star's plan allows only 90 single-family home sites on its 1,300 acres. Approximately 75 percent of the land is permanently preserved in its natural state, and the entire community is surrounded by US National Forest land and open space, all just minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek and Cordillera.

Wildridge - Amazing views of Beaver Creek and surrounding mountains as well as the neighborhood feel make the residential community of Wildridge a locals favorite. A land of sharply defined ridges and ravines, this relatively young "community within a community" boasts panoramic vistas stretching for miles up and down the Vail Valley. It also offers access to the surrounding White River National Forest and still just minutes to Vail and Beaver Creek.

Arrowhead - Known as "Vail's Private Address," Arrowhead was envisioned to be unique in the Vail Valley when property sales began in 1983. Golf at Arrowhead on the Jack Nicklaus-designed Country Club of the Rockies had been the primary focus at Arrowhead until skiing on Arrowhead Mountain became available for the 1988-89 ski season. Ski to and from Beaver Creek through Bachelor Gulch Village from Arrowhead. Summer and winter are truly a delight behind the 24-hour controlled access gates.

Cordillera - The Ranch, The Summit, The Divide and The Valley Club make up the gated community known as Cordillera. Sitting on over 5,000 acres of diverse Colorado terrain with incredible views, Cordillera boasts three championship golf courses as well as a fitness center, pools, tennis courts and restaurants. The community is restricted to single-family and single-family enclave neighborhoods, each with detailed design guidelines. The Cordillera Lodge and Spa was recently purchased by the Fandango Group and underwent serious upgrades.

Singletree - Many longtime Vail residents as well as second homeowners have made the move down valley to Singletree, also known as Berry Creek Ranch, citing the warmer weather, fantastic views and glorious sunsets -- not to mention the larger homesites and excellent values are what initially drew them to this community. This beautiful, sloping dry land features an abundance of sunshine and a sagebrush environment, which surrounds the 18-hole championship golf course and clubhouse. Wonderful amenities are accompanied by a fantastic restaurant and unique neighborhood atmosphere.

Homestead - Located 15 minutes west of Vail and a few minutes from downtown Edwards, Homestead offers both the local and second homebuyer a great value in a residential setting. The focal point of this community is the health/ tennis club offering aerobic classes, weight lifting, an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna, racquet ball and squash courts and both indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Everything from townhomes to large single-family residences, Homestead overlooks Lake Creek and many of the residences capture commanding views of the New York Mountain range and Castle Peak.

Lake Creek - Hidden just west of downtown Edwards, the Lake Creek area boasts breathtaking views and rolling hills in a private setting full of trees and wildlife. The elite gated community of Pilgrim Downs is located within Lake Creek as well as several ranch properties.
